Clark Tree Services is a veteran-owned business founded in 2008 by Daniel Clark with a single mission: to become a trusted, key provider of tree services for Darnestown, MD, and the surrounding communities. Before Clark Tree Services, there was Daniel Clark—a local native and a U.S. Army Veteran whose values of discipline, safety, and hard work laid the foundation for our company culture.

From Military to Tree Care

Daniel served in the United States Army for 10 years. During his service, he was trained in high-risk technical operations, including climbing telephone and antenna towers, pole installation and removal, and operating crane bucket trucks. He completed two overseas tours, totaling over 28 months of mobilized active duty. When he returned, he channeled those specialized climbing skills and military discipline into the arboriculture industry, ensuring that every tree service provided is safe, efficient, and professional.

A Personal Touch

Daniel's commitment to his community extends beyond his business. He supports the Rockville Civic Ballet where he dances in multiple performances a year. He and his family, his wife and five kids, have performed in several productions such as "FireBird", "Dante's Inferno", and "The NutCracker".

I just had two days of tree work done by Clark Tree service. Dan and Mike did a great job. This work involved the removal of three trees - a 60ft Pin Oak and two dead 40' trees. Dan then majorly trimmed a very large 60' Sawtooth Oak to keep it away from the house, a large 30' Deodora Cedar, as well as 4 Bradford pears and a Nellie Stevens Holly (15ft). I was totally impressed. He had the right tools for each job. The work flowed seamlessly and efficiently. I usually need about two days of tree work done each year so I have a lot of past experience with tree companies. I was very satisfied with how effectively Dan pruned the Deodora Cedar and the very large Sawtooth oak . He has every piece of equipment he needs from a bucket truck to a stump grinder, chipper, the longest pole saws and pruners that I have every seen as well as a large truck to lift and haul away all the wood. Dan and Mike were very pleasant and easy to work with. Dan responded to my requests and explained what he was doing throughout the process. Mike constantly chipped the wood. I felt the estimate which included everything including the stump grinding was fair for the amount of work and quality of work done. I will definitely use Clark Tree Service again.
